Jillian Jodrey is an emerging self-taught artist from Nova Scotia. In 2020 after 11 years of work as a continuing care assistant, she turned her passion for art into a career.
She creates art because it is fun and challenges her mind to see the details of everything and everyone around her. Using acrylic, she focuses on pet portraits and small artwork packed full of detail.
Her work has been shown at Chester Art Centre’s "Doors Wide Open" exhibition of July 2020, The Bread Gallery Summer Show 2021 and 2019-2020 She worked with En Pointe Performing Arts afterschool program as the art instructor for ages 5-10.
When she is not painting, she can be found with her family exploring beaches or sharing laughter with friends and family.
